Love to dream Nursery,Bedding,Blankets & Swaddlers,Swaddles Love To Dream Swaddle UP 50/50 Transition Bag, 1.0 TOG, Medium 6kg-8.5kg, Grey Good transitional swaddle for babies who start rolling. My baby loves being swaddled however she started rolling front to back from around 3 months. I tried moving her out of her normal arms down swaddle into a sleeping bag but had several sleepless nights. I bought this despite the expensive price tag in desperation but it has worked effectively. The first week I left the arms on and she slept brilliantly but unfortunately due to her trying to roll I had to transition her to arms free. This has been difficult as she still has the startle reflex but this swaddle has made the transition much easier by doing one arm at a time over the course of a month. She now uses it arms free as a sleeping bag. It has been worth the money to make this transition easier. Only criticism is that in very hot weather I have used it with my baby wearing no vest or a sleeveless vest only and it has left some red marks on the back of her arms where the fabric has rubbed so I always make sure she has a sleeved vest on now..

curlymop Useful as transitioning from the swaddle has been very difficult We moved to this after using the normal Love to Dream swaddled for both ages. It’s been a bit of a nightmare moving him out of it (you can’t use the swaddle once they start to roll and we didn’t want to go cold turkey if he rolled one day). We are on week 3 of trying to transition out of the swaddle. The first week was awful, he didn’t settle at all with one arm out, he thrashed around and couldn’t settle himself back to sleep and ended up crying a lot. He’d been used to self settling by sucking on the ‘wing’ of the swaddle you see and remove the arm removes this wing. Luckily secret people on a Facebook group who have experienced the same issue with the transitional swaddle recommended scratch mits on the free hand(s) and it’s worked! Either he wasn’t used to a cold hand or he can suck on the material and rub his face with the material, but I definitely recommend it. We spent a week with 1 arm out to get him used to it and he’s been more unsettled but ok, and now on day 1 of both arms out. But I would recommend buying the transitional swaddle because we couldn’t have got him out of it by suddenly one day putting him in a grobag. It’s like buying nicotine patches to get you off cigarettes!.
Luke M A sleep bag that is almost miraculous We had bought a gro-snug to help our little one sleep as he kept startling himself awake when asleep under blankets. He hated being put down and a free arm would startle him awake at night. The gro-snug was great until he was far too long to sleep in it. After a week of awful sleep (for all of us), we found these. This is the “mid-stage” from Love to Dream. The first stage is like a gro-snug. The 50/50 is the missing piece for the Gro-company as far as I’m concerned. The materials are soft and warm, and a really useful guide of what to wear is on the back of the packaging. You put your baby’s arms into the top sections which are “locked-in” and prevent them from flapping around. There is a double zip so you can check the nappy without freeing the hands. The body section is snuggly but freedom for the legs, almost like being swaddled but with some room to grow. There is a transition period for your little one as you can zip off each hand cuff to get them ready for a sleep bag.Since moving our little one into these, he’s slept far longer than before and doesn’t startle himself awake, and we’ve even managed to get some better sleep ourselves as parents. Just to wait for the startle (moro) reflex to go and we can get him transitioned to the next stage. If you struggle with sleep in your household, give one of these as try. If you get a few weeks of good sleep because of it you’ll consider the £30 odd a fantastic investment for your own well-being!.
FlGirl workes but not as well as i had hoped My child out grew her Halo swaddle sac so i put her in a love to dream swaddle which she liked it. Then she learned how to roll over. So i couldn’t use it any more. Sleep sacs did not work because she still has a startle reflex. This was a last ditch effort for us to sleep. She demand both hands out as soon as I got it. Nonw of that learning not to startle she would not have it. It works ok, she is still a figity sleeper. i think if the part that huged her was slightly weighted she might feel more secure. This is pretty much the only option i could find in europe that worked as a transition from the swaddle to a sleep sac. So it is better then nothing. My biggest issue is the price. In ameeica these are 35$ and you can find them on sale everywhere. With the taxes, VAT and shipping cost to greece from Amazon UK it was around 50 lbs. If it worked and she would sleep for longer then 3 hours at 4 months old i wouldnt care at the insane mark up. But she still is not sleeping. So I am not sleeping. I am so tired..
MsPupsix Very good for intended purpose, i would recommend I loved this swaddle. My girl had the startling reflex for long time and around 3 months she figured out how to get out of cheaper swaddles, but this did the trick. It was holding her hands nicely and muted the reflex plus it allowed her to have frog legs when sleeping which is better for hips. I liked that it was snug on her waist so she feels comforted and swaddles. The swaddle is think so very good for summer. In hot weather I put her into this swaddle with just nappy on.The transition to sleeping bag was very smooth. We did as recommended with leaving one hand out one night and the both hands out afterwards. She transitions within one day really. My girl is 5.5 months now and we upgraded to next size up sleeping bag and use this as a spare while the main one is in washing because my little one prefers now a longer sleeping bagUpdate: I accidentally noticed that on Chinese website (Aliex….ss) these are much cheaper. Yes, it will take 2-3 weeks receive, but they cost there only fraction of the price. So gutted I got it here.
Love to dream Nursery,Bedding,Blankets & Swaddlers,Swaddles Love To Dream Swaddle UP 50/50 Transition Bag, 1.0 TOG, Medium 6kg-8.5kg, Grey The Love to Dream Swaddle UP 50/50TM is designed to transition your baby from swaddled sleeping to arms-out sleeping. Parents know that swaddling their new-borns is important, but when they begin to roll over or show signs that their startle reflex has diminished, they are ready to be transitioned from swaddling to arms-out sleeping. But this transition can sometimes be hard as babies at this stage are used to being swaddled. The Love To DreamTM team designed the Swaddle UP 50/50TM – which is Stage 2 in Love to Dream’s 3 Stage Sleep System – to make this transition easy for both baby and parents. The Swaddle UP 50/50TM shares the same features as the Swaddle UPTM Original, but with the added versatility of patented zip-off wings. The Swaddle UP 50/50TM will gently transition your baby from sleeping snuggly swaddled towards having the independence of sleeping with his or her arms out. The zip design makes it easy to go back to the original swaddle design if your baby is not ready to transition. Once your little one is comfortable with both wings removed, the Swaddle UP 50/50TM can be used like a comfy sleeping bag, but with a snug fit that makes your baby still feel swaddled.
