Rachel Essential for a colicky newborn We absolutely loved these wraps.We had a very colicky, premature little baby who was not ready to be int he big, wide, world.I had heard and seen at the hospital how swaddles can help them sleep and feel more relaxed and secure.Some midwifes advise against it BUT if you are following safe sleeping guidelines and doing it correctly it is very safe.Obviously do not use these if your baby can roll and make sure the crib is empty apart from a firm clean mattress and tightly fitted sheet and that baby is in your room…but for those first 3 or 4 months these are perfect. Our baby loved them, they helped her to sleep better and with the velcro they felt secure and didn’t slip off, yet they weren’t too restrictive as the hips should be free to move.100% recommend.
