JD No lining to the zipper I am in two minds about this bag. On the one hand, babies at this age are not turning about too much in their sleep. But they do kick their legs. And the zipper (that even on this tiny size is unlined) will get in the way at some point. And if your kiddo picks up on changes of texture and is, generally, fidgety, this zipper might wake the up. It is made of great fabric, breathable and cooling in hot months, the print is cute, not too bright and unsettling. The design is good too, it is snug fitting in the upper part so that your child is safe in it. And the zipper is not all that rough, to be honest. It is just slightly different, and knowing how inflexible zippers are in reality you can understand where I am coming from. This brand is not for very plump babies, the sizing is quite snug-fitting as it is. Great thing but pricey. It is a great gift, nut be aware, babies will grow out of it almost immediately (it might last a month or so at best)..
