Also helps if your little one takes a dummy to soothe as their hands are up by their face, helping the dummy to stay in place if it starts to fall out (doesn’t restrict, the dummy can still fall out).

The holy grail of parenting must haves In a world of: don’t traditional swaddle, don’t co-sleep, sleep on back, feet to foot of cot, don’t double up on blanket etc etc etc… it’s pretty bloody daunting as a first time parent!!It wasn’t until I was googling 2am with one hand, trying to console my over tired baby with the other that the world said to try swaddling. Even though antenatal class said not to, I tried with a teeeeeny bit of success (a calm-ish baby, still no more sleep).I then discovered this in a bid to swaddle safely, it looks a bit ridiculous and I wasn’t expecting miracles. It is absolutely fabulous. Great stretchy material, easy double zip, lovely quality. Whilst it doesn’t give me the opportunity to brag at mum and baby groups “he slept 8 hours!”, it does settle him instantly. He knows it’s time for bed and settles, and after feeds during the night, he goes down instantly, so no pacing the room rocking/bouncing him to a point of remote tiredness.As a first time parent, I’ll take little wins when I can and this swaddle is a definite win for us!.
