He will absolutely love it. This came in a nice see through plastic cover packaging, so will be easy for me to wrap up! I haven’t opened it yet to check the mat but from what I can see it looks fine? Also I don’t want to mess up packaging as it is a gift. We will see on the day.

francocilli No mess, use it anyway Great product. Does what it says on the tin. My son is still a bit too young for it but enjoys watching us doodle. The pens just get filled with water and then you can create a rainbow effect. This fades away after 5/10 minutes. No mess and no worrying about children using ink etc..
